Ainsley is a freelance documentary cameraperson based in Naarm.  She shoots poetic and portrait focussed documentaries. In everything she does, she prioritises collaborative and ethical storytelling behind the lens.

She has shot documentary content for media organisations including the ABC, as well as various corporate clients, notably the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation and the Heide Museum of Modern Art.

Last year, she shot the short documentary ‘No Prior Opportunity’ which screened at MIFF 2025 and The Other Film Festival.

‘Wisewoman’, her graduating work for the Masters of Documentary at the Victorian College of the Arts, screened at the Melbourne Documentary Film Festival and was a finalist for Best Documentary at the Australian Women’s Film Festival.

She also has years of experience on set, with a background in production crewing on short and feature films, television and TVC’s, working with production houses including Finch, Photoplay, Exit Films, Goodoil, Collider, & MOFA.
